Seniors for Seniors provides specialized senior care in Simcoe County & Muskoka. Our senior companions help seniors age safely and independently at home. Our senior companions come from a variety of backgrounds and professions and are able to provide shared common experiences along with senior care services.
Now more than ever it is important to protect yourself, and others, from getting the influenza virus (flu). Some of the symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to the flu which makes it difficult to tell the difference based on just symptoms alone. Your best defence against the flu this season is to get the flu shot.
Every month Seniors for Seniors chooses an employee who exemplifies qualities of a great senior companion. We chose Huguette Malo Sinisac for our Employee of the Month because of her compassion and care.
October 1 is National Seniors Day in Canada. It is a special day where we recognize older adults and all the contributions that they have made to our country.
The emotional toll is hard enough but loneliness has also been shown to adversely impact health and longevity. Seniors who have regular interactions with their family, friends, and social networks are shown to live longer and healthier lives.
Through our employees' donations to the foundation, we were able to partner with Society of Sharing, a not-for-profit organization that provides services to low-income seniors.
It’s a fact that our population is aging faster than we can build facilities. But why build them at all? What if we could provide quality care in people’s homes, where many Canadians want to age? And what if we could do this at reduced costs to Canadian taxpayers?
Every month Seniors for Seniors selects a senior companion who is exceptional at what they do. Richard was chosen as our June Employee of the Month because of his loyalty to his clients. He treats each of them like his personal friend. They really enjoy their time with Richard.
