Janice helped my mom with her diabetes care when I couldn’t be there. We are so grateful for the wonderful care she received.

Linda, London, Ontario (Health Care)

Not only was Nigel dependable and incredibly knowledgeable, he was sensitive to my father’s condition and very kind and sympathetic to what our family was going through. It was so clear that Nigel is a professional, and that he truly values the work he does, and the people he helps.

Wendy, Toronto, Ontario (Health Care)

Peter kept my dad company when I couldn’t be there. We are so grateful for his friendship, kindness, and care.

Resources

  • The flu shot is important, this is why

Now more than ever it is important to protect yourself, and others, from getting the influenza virus (flu). Some of the symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to the flu which makes it difficult to tell the difference based on just symptoms alone. Your best defence against the flu this season is to get the flu shot.

  • Huguette is our newest Employee of the Month

Every month Seniors for Seniors chooses an employee who exemplifies qualities of a great senior companion. We chose Huguette Malo Sinisac for our Employee of the Month because of her compassion and care.

  • Happy National Seniors Day!

October 1 is National Seniors Day in Canada. It is a special day where we recognize older adults and all the contributions that they have made to our country.

  • What the 'Golden Girls' taught us about seniors and companionship

The emotional toll is hard enough but loneliness has also been shown to adversely impact health and longevity. Seniors who have regular interactions with their family, friends, and social networks are shown to live longer and healthier lives.

  • Our foundation is making a difference!

Through our employees' donations to the foundation, we were able to partner with Society of Sharing, a not-for-profit organization that provides services to low-income seniors.
