Marie is our May Employee of the Month!

Seniors for Seniors chose Marie Rawson to be May's Employee of the Month.

Marie is a loyal and dedicated employee who can always be counted on. Clients at the Kingston branch request her because they know that she is talented and competent. Marie goes above and beyond what is expected of her role as a senior companion.

Whether she is driving a client to a doctor’s appointment, using a transfer board to assist the client from wheelchair to vehicle, or visiting as a companion, Marie represents Seniors for Seniors with her friendly can-do attitude. Marie is also active in her community and her church. Seniors for Seniors is lucky to have Marie Rawson as an employee. Thanks for helping us shine!

We recently asked Marie to share her experience being a senior companion.

1. How did you hear about Seniors for Seniors and why did you decide to join the company?

I heard about Seniors for Seniors through the job market. I decided I wanted to join the company because it would be a great experience for me.

2. What is your favorite companion/caregiver experience or story?

A good experience is when I leave a client and they’re very happy and laughing. I feel great knowing they are very satisfied with me being there.

3. How has Seniors for Seniors benefited your clients?

I think one of the biggest benefits to my clients is that I am able to be with them within a half hour of them calling for assistance.

4. How has being a Seniors for Seniors caregiver enriched your life?

Being a Seniors for Seniors caregiver isn’t just a job, but something that fulfills a deep satisfaction within me. I love being able help different people with different needs. It is different every day.
