Meet our caregiver Helen

Our Caregiver Companions feel proud of the work they do and recognize the value their companionship adds to the lives of our clients.

Helen, who has worked for Seniors for Seniors since 2014, says she feels fulfilled by the happiness and joy she is able to bring to her clients and their families.

It was Helen’s neighbour who encouraged her to apply to Seniors for Seniors. Performing the roles of Drop-In Companion and Home Cleaner, Helen has excelled at providing quality care for her clients and their families. She has received positive feedback from families who recognize how much their loved ones value the care and companionship she provides. One family even said that their mother’s memory and mood has improved significantly since they hired Helen to visit and spend time with her at the Long Term Care home where she resides.

Helen notes that working for Seniors for Seniors doesn’t feel like work because it is something she loves to do! “It gets me out of the house and makes me feel valued,” she explains. Having witnessed first-hand how busy Long Term Care homes can get, Helen understands that providing one-on-one care and support can enrich the lives of her clients by helping them feel recognized and important.
