Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an emotional reaction to a terrible event long after the real danger has passed.

PTSD usually appears within three months of the incident(s) but sometimes the symptoms may not appear until years later.

There are many signs and symptoms to look out for if you suspect you or your loved one has PTSD. These signs and symptoms include:
