Acquisition announcement

(Toronto, Ontario) Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Spectrum Health Care is pleased to announce the acquisition of the event medical services division of Parkview Emergency Medical Services Limited.

“Parkview Events” is the leading provider in Ontario of event paramedical services to major sports and concert venues. Customers include Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (Air Canada Centre inclusive of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, and all concerts), Rogers Centre and the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club, Live Nations Canada’s major concerts in the Greater Toronto Area, and other premier events and venues.

The “Parkview Events” business will operate as a separate entity under Spectrum Health Care, which has subsequently entered into an agreement to purchase the events contracts and assets from Spectrum Patient Services LP. The combined “Parkview Events” entity will be the largest provider of paramedical / first aid services to sporting events, concerts, festivals, race tracks and other events in Ontario and will be rebranded over the weeks ahead to Spectrum Event Medical Services.

Spectrum Patient Services will continue to focus on becoming the largest, fastest growing, and most sought after non-urgent patient transfer provider in Ontario to health care facilities, residents and businesses.
