Low-Energy-Density food diet

This semi-tongue twister diet focuses on foods that are nutrient rich and calorie poor. Most fruits and vegetables are low in energy density and high in nutrients. Low-Glycemic- Index Food diet

According to a study published in Annals of Oncology in 2003, this diet may help reduce the risk of ovarian cancer. A Glycemic diet eliminates carbohydrates that affect blood sugar levels. Foods falling on the lower end of glycemic index have less of an effect on blood sugar compared to those higher on the index. Foods like nuts, beans, most fresh fruits and non-starchy vegetables are considered low, while bread, potatoes and dried fruits are ranked high.
