Spectrum Health Care Once Again Achieves Prestigious ISO/IEC 27001 Certification and SOC 2 Type 1 Compliance

Spectrum Health Care, a leading provider of innovative home health care, senior companionship, and specialized services, is proud to announce its achievement of ISO/IEC 27001 certification and SOC 2 Type 1 compliance for the second consecutive year in a row. These achievements set a new benchmark for security standards for home care service providers in Canada.
The ISO 27001 certification was awarded by MSECB, an ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation body, following a comprehensive and rigorous third-party audit of Spectrum Health Care’s information security management system. Spectrum Health Care also achieved SOC 2 Type 1 compliance in meeting the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) applicable Trust Services Criteria relevant to security following an extensive examination and report issued by an independent third-party auditor for the design and implementation of its system and controls.
ISO 27001 is the globally recognized standard for information security management systems and is awarded to organizations that meet stringent criteria for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving information security management practices. The SOC 2 report validates that Spectrum has established best-in-class information security policies, practices and controls to protect sensitive data. These achievements are especially important in protecting the personal health information (PHI) of Spectrum’s clients.
“We’re thrilled to announce that Spectrum has achieved the ISO/IEC 27001 certification and SOC 2 Type 1 compliance for the second consecutive year. This reflects our ongoing commitment to the highest standards of data security and regulatory compliance,” said Peter Ricciardi, Chief Operating Officer, Spectrum Health Care. “These achievements highlight our unwavering focus on risk management and our dedication to protecting our clients, partners, and employees, especially in today’s increasingly data-driven world.”
