Meet our caregiver Nancy

While our Seniors for Seniors Companions come from a variety of backgrounds, they all have one thing in common; a commitment to improving the lives of the elderly.
Take our caregiver, Nancy.
Four years ago having undergone some significant life changes, which included a move into a new community, she happened to see a Seniors for Seniors’ advertisement in the local newspaper. With “roots” in the health care industry, she decided to apply and was hired by Seniors for Seniors as a Live-In/ Drop-In Companion and a Driver Companion.
Instantly Nancy knew that being a Seniors for Seniors Companion was the perfect fit for her compassionate personality. Over the years, many of Nancy’s clients have been individuals who suffered from physical and mental health issues and who strongly desired to stay within the comfort of their home. Understanding the importance of this desire, Nancy has put her heart into supporting her clients to achieve their goal of aging at home. She has also witnessed firsthand the comfort clients feel having a caregiver who is in close proximity to their age, especially clients suffering from early stages of Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
If asked why she continues to work at Seniors for Seniors, Nancy will tell you it’s meaningful. “Being a Seniors for Seniors caregiver has given me the opportunity to interact in such a positive and personal manner with wonderful people as they face new life challenges.”
Over the course of her four years with Seniors for Seniors, Nancy has been able to develop rewarding and longstanding relationships with her clients and their families. Her dedication to improving the lives of her clients has resulted in friendships that Nancy will carry with her for a lifetime.
