Eve is our April Employee of the Month

Every month Seniors for Seniors chooses an exceptional employee to spotlight for our Employee of the Month.
Eve was chosen as our April Employee of the month because of her positive energy and infectious smile.
This is what Eve has to share about being a senior companion.
1. How did you hear about Seniors for Seniors, and why did you decide to join the company?
I heard about Seniors for Seniors through March of Dimes in St. Catharine's. The organization seemed like a good fit so I applied to be a senior companion.
2. What is your favorite companion/caregiver experience or story?
I enjoy spending time talking and listening to my clients' concerns. I show them my support with a quiet response to let them know that I understand their issues. Laughing with them also helps.
3.How has Seniors for Seniors benefited your clients?
They love having the company and they really appreciate that their light chores are done. They like having a senior companion because it allows them to stay independent in their home.
4.How has being a Seniors for Seniors caregiver enriched your life?
For myself it has shown me the amount of knowledge and wisdom our elders bring to our society. They charged the path for us to have a good life in Canada. There are lots to learn from them.
They are not just a number, you end up developing a relationship with them. It is not about the wages I receive but the connections that I make. It is an honour to be walking with the family and the client through this time in their lives, what ever the journey ahead brings.
