CEO Corner: Celebrating 40 years of quality health care services!

The celebration of our 40th anniversary is a time to reflect on what has made Spectrum Health Care one of the most highly regarded heath care providers in the province of Ontario.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the employees of Spectrum Health Care. Although as CEO I do not always have day to day contact with our patients, I am truly inspired by our employees’ abilities, commitment and compassion to deliver quality services to our patients to keep them as independent as possible. Every individual matters and I thank each and every employee for their hard work and their extraordinary dedication to their patients and to Spectrum Health Care.

Health care is always changing. Past changes were driven by science and innovation. Today’s changes are often driven by economics. Through my years managing Spectrum Health Care, I believe that health care professionals are the smartest, most innovative and most conscientious people in the workforce. Our employees take every opportunity to change the old and learn new approaches to care every day.

As I look back and remember the journey that Spectrum Health Care has been on, I remember having just 50 employees in the field and a very small home care division. Now we have diversified our home care business into non-urgent patient transport services, event medical services and seniors care services. We are a family of divisions providing the highest quality of health care services to over 80,000 clients annually.

I look forward to celebrating our 40th anniversary over this next year. This journey is an accomplishment that we should all be very proud of.
