In May 2013 Paul Kalanithi, a neurosurgeon, was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. He wrote a book detailing his life and battle with terminal cancer. While Paul sadly passed away at the age of 37, his book When Breath Becomes Air was published posthumously.
