Certain studies show that nutrition can help slow down Alzheimer’s and or dementia.

Eating heart-healthy foods may help to protect the brain. In honour of January being Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, we want to highlight the foods that can help with our brain health. This includes eating oily fish, fruits, vegetables, eggs, nuts and olive oil while also limiting consumption of red meat and sugar.

Aileen Burford-Mason, the author of The Healthy Brain, argues that feeding the brain correctly by what we eat will help our memory and cognition later on in life. Her book gives a step-by-step guide on how to make dietary changes in order to feed our brain and allow it to be at its optimal best.
